Refund & Cancellation Policy

We believe in fairness and transparency. Here's exactly how cancellations and refunds work.

1. Overview

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") outlines the terms under which CrawlWithAI (Mumbai, Maharashtra, India) handles subscription cancellations, refund requests, and billing disputes.

By subscribing to CrawlWithAI, you agree to this Policy. We encourage you to read it carefully before subscribing. If you have questions, contact us at support@crawlwithai.com before purchasing.

2. Free Trial

CrawlWithAI provides a 4-day free trial for all new Merchants upon first app installation. During the trial:

  • You have complete access to all features included in your selected plan.
  • No charge is applied during the trial period.
  • You may cancel at any time during the trial by uninstalling the App — no questions asked, no charge incurred.
  • If you do not uninstall before the trial ends, your subscription begins automatically and your payment method is charged via Shopify Billing on the first day after trial expiry.
  • One free trial is permitted per Shopify store. Reinstalling the App after a prior trial does not grant an additional trial period.

3. Cancellation Policy

3.1 How to Cancel

You may cancel your CrawlWithAI subscription at any time by:

  • Navigating to your Shopify Admin → Apps → CrawlWithAI → Uninstall.
  • Or by contacting us at support@crawlwithai.com and requesting cancellation assistance.

3.2 Effect of Cancellation

  • Your subscription remains active and you retain full access to the Services until the end of your current paid billing period.
  • No further charges are made after cancellation.
  • Your store's attribution and dashboard data is retained for 90 days post-cancellation, after which it is permanently deleted.
  • You may reinstall the App at any time; reinstallation on an existing plan resumes billing at the start of a new billing cycle.

3.3 Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions may be cancelled at any time, but access continues until the end of the annual period already paid. No pro-rata refund is issued for the remaining months of an annual subscription unless otherwise required by law (see Section 5).

4. Refund Policy

4.1 General Rule

All CrawlWithAI subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, except as explicitly stated in this Policy. We offer a 4-day free trial expressly so that Merchants can evaluate the Services before any charge is made.

4.2 Exceptions — When We Will Issue a Refund

We will provide a full or partial refund in the following circumstances:

  • Technical Failure: If the Services were completely non-functional for more than 72 consecutive hours in a billing period due to issues on our end (not caused by Shopify infrastructure, third-party outages, or your own store configuration), and you reported the issue to us during the outage, we may issue a pro-rata credit or refund for the affected period.
  • Duplicate Charge: If you were charged twice for the same billing period due to a billing system error, the duplicate charge will be refunded in full.
  • Charge After Cancellation: If you were charged after a valid cancellation was processed on our side, the erroneous charge will be refunded in full.
  • Extraordinary Circumstances: At our sole discretion, we may issue refunds in circumstances not covered above on a case-by-case basis.

4.3 Refund Process

  • Submit a refund request to support@crawlwithai.com within 7 days of the charge in question.
  • Include your Shopify store URL, the date of the charge, and the reason for your request.
  • We will acknowledge your request within 2 business days and resolve it within 7 business days.
  • Approved refunds are processed through Shopify Billing and may take 5–10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your payment provider.

5. Statutory Rights

Nothing in this Policy limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. In particular:

  • India (Consumer Protection Act, 2019): Indian consumers retain all statutory rights under applicable law. If you believe you have a valid complaint, you may also approach the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
  • European Union: EU consumers may have additional cancellation rights under the Consumer Rights Directive. B2B Merchants (which constitute the majority of our customers) are not subject to these consumer protection provisions.
  • United Kingdom: UK consumers retain rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 where applicable.

6. Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect or unauthorised, please contact us at support@crawlwithai.com before initiating a chargeback with your payment provider. We are committed to resolving billing disputes fairly and quickly.

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us may result in: (a) suspension of your account pending resolution; (b) additional fees charged by Shopify Payments; and (c) potential permanent account termination if the chargeback is found to be unwarranted.

If we cannot resolve the dispute amicably, you retain the right to pursue available legal remedies as set out in our Terms of Service.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be communicated by email and posted on our Website with an updated effective date. Changes do not apply retroactively to charges already made before the updated Policy takes effect.
