Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the "Terms") form the agreement between you, the Shopify store owner ("Merchant", "you", "your"), and Shubh Pranamya, a business registered in Mumbai, India ("CrawlWithAI", "we", "us", "our"), for the CrawlWithAI Shopify application (the "App") and the crawlwithai.com website (the "Site").

By installing the App from the Shopify App Store, or by continuing to use it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not, uninstall the App.

The App provides the following services to Shopify Merchants:

• AI Mapping. Author AI-friendly product and store-level descriptions inside the Shopify admin.
• AI Network. Expose the Merchant's catalog to AI shopping agents (ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Perplexity, Bing/Copilot, and similar) via public endpoints we host on the Merchant's behalf.
• Sales AI widget. Optional storefront chat bubble powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Shoppers ask questions and get product recommendations.
• AI Optimizer. Score product pages on AI-readiness and help the Merchant improve them.
• AI Orders + Attribution. Record which AI source (if any) drove each Shopify order and surface this in a dashboard.
• Multi-Protocol Reach. Publish the Merchant's catalog via MCP, A2A, OpenAPI, and UCP (Google's Universal Commerce Protocol) so AI agents can read it in their native protocols.

We may add or remove features. Material removals are announced in advance.

CrawlWithAI is offered on four plans. All charges are billed by Shopify in US dollars through the Shopify App Billing API. Shopify converts to your settlement currency on your invoice. There is no free trial: Free is free indefinitely.

All paid plans are billed monthly via Shopify.

Commission billing. For each Shopify order our attribution engine credits to an AI source, we file a usage record with Shopify's App Billing API for the commission amount (order revenue x rate, converted to USD via a daily FX snapshot). Shopify adds it to your next invoice. No separate payment method, no invoicing by us, and no monthly cap on commission. You only pay commission on orders we attribute to AI.

Sales AI conversation overage (Growth only). Growth includes 500 widget conversations per calendar month. Conversations past 500 are billed at $0.50 USD each via a Shopify usage record. Each overage is itemised on your Shopify invoice as "Sales AI conversation (over monthly plan limit)." Network has no cap; Pro is sandbox-only. Network is usually cheaper than ~50+ overage conversations a month.

Refunded orders. When you refund an order in Shopify, we file a negative usage record for the commission amount so it unwinds on your next invoice. No action from you. See the Refund Policy.

Currency. Shopify shows app pricing in USD to all merchants, per App Store convention. For non-USD shops, Shopify converts the charge at billing time using their own FX rate. Our commission math uses a daily mid-market FX rate to compute the USD amount sent to Shopify.

To use the App you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and keep your Shopify and contact details current.
• Comply with Shopify's Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
• Not reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent rate limits or access controls.
• Not use the Sales AI widget to misrepresent products, mislead shoppers, or evade consumer-protection law.
• Not upload material that infringes third-party rights or is unlawful in your jurisdiction.
• Not use the App to send unsolicited commercial messages.
• Keep any API keys you generate confidential. You are responsible for activity under your keys until you revoke them.
• Display any cookie-consent banner, privacy notice, or shopper-facing disclosure required by the law of your shoppers' jurisdictions (for example, the EU ePrivacy Directive and the GDPR for EU shoppers, the CCPA / CPRA for California shoppers, or the DPDP Act 2023 for Indian shoppers). The CrawlWithAi app sets one first-party session cookie (_cwai_proxy_sid) that we consider strictly necessary to operate the AI Network proxy endpoint; the merchant is responsible for any additional cookies their storefront sets and for the consent UX presented to shoppers.
• Sign our Data Processing Agreement (DPA) if your jurisdiction requires one. See the DPA for the template; it incorporates by reference into these Terms.

• Provide the App's features as described above.
• Apply commercially reasonable effort to keep the App available 24/7. We do not guarantee uptime at this stage.
• Process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy.
• Implement Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact) and act on them within 30 days.
• Provide support via support@crawlwithai.com with a target reply time of two business days.
• Notify you in advance of material changes to features, pricing, or terms.

Uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin. On uninstall:

• Any active CrawlWithAI subscription is cancelled by Shopify. Shopify pro-rates subscription charges per their billing rules; we do not control that.
• Outstanding commission usage records for unrefunded orders remain billable.
• Within 48 hours, Shopify sends us a shop/redact webhook. On receipt we permanently delete all data tied to your shop.

To delete your data before the 48-hour Shopify window, email support@crawlwithai.com.

Full detail in the Refund Policy. Short version:

• Commission on AI-attributed sales unwinds automatically when you refund the order in Shopify.
• Subscription fees (Pro, Growth, Network) are non-refundable once the billing cycle starts, except where required by law or by Shopify App Store policy.
• Billed in error? Email support@crawlwithai.com within 30 days.

The App, the Site, our trademarks, copy, designs, and code remain our property. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App while you have an active installation.

You retain all rights to your product catalog, AI Mapping text, store identity content, and any other material you upload or author. By using the App you grant us a limited licence to process that material strictly to operate the service for you.

AI replies generated by the Sales AI widget come from Anthropic's Claude API. We do not claim copyright over them; you and your shoppers may use them in line with Anthropic's terms.

The Sales AI widget, AI Mapping suggestions, and AI Optimizer recommendations are produced by large language models. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misaligned with your intent. You are responsible for:

• Reviewing AI-generated content before publishing it on your storefront.
• Configuring the Sales AI widget's brand voice, triggers, and product scope.
• Ensuring any product claims surfaced through AI replies meet the consumer-protection requirements of your market.

We run multiple safety layers (anti-hallucination prompts, post-generation SKU validation, missed-answer logging) but cannot guarantee zero errors.

The App depends on third-party services: Shopify, Anthropic (Claude), Voyage AI, Google (GA4, when connected), Microsoft (IndexNow), and the Railway hosting platform. We are not responsible for outages or changes in those services, but will mitigate impact where reasonably possible.

CrawlWithAI is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Microsoft, Voyage AI, Perplexity, xAI, or Meta.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties (express or implied), including fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability under or in connection with these Terms, for any cause, is capped at the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us via Shopify in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD 100.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, or loss of goodwill, even if we were advised of the possibility.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Shubh Pranamya, its operator, and contractors from any third-party claim arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your use of the App in violation of law, or (c) any product or content you publish that infringes third-party rights or misleads consumers. This indemnity does not apply to claims caused by our breach of these Terms or our negligence.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without reference to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Before initiating any legal proceeding, you agree to attempt good-faith resolution by emailing support@crawlwithai.com with a description of the dispute and the resolution sought. We will respond within 30 days.

We may amend these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we post the update on this page, change the effective date below, and email Merchants at the address on file at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

• Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Refund Policy, form the complete agreement.
• Severability. If any clause is held unenforceable, the rest survive.
• No waiver. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it.
• Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign them to a successor in connection with a sale or restructuring of the business.
• Notices. Notices to us go to support@crawlwithai.com or by post to the registered office above. Notices to you go to the email on your Shopify account.
